The EP BrainHealth Foresight Symposium, hosted by Inserm at PariSanté Campus, Paris, on 20 May 2026, convened a diverse community of over 95 stakeholders, including researchers, clinicians, journal editors, patient advocates, and representatives from European research funding agencies. The Symposium served as a collaborative exercise to shape the future of translational brain health research.

The morning session was dedicated to exploring the future of interventions in brain health, focusing on how different research approaches and therapeutic strategies can be effectively combined to improve patient outcomes. The afternoon session shifted toward the importance of stratification in brain health research, discussing how to better organize clinical and research information to ensure that future initiatives are as precise and targeted as possible.
A central highlight of the event was the integration of expert editorial viewpoints and lived-experience perspectives from leading organizations, such as Alzheimer’s Disease International, GAMIAN-Europe, and the European Federation of Neurological Associations, ensuring that the research agenda remains deeply connected to clinical and societal needs. The robust dialogue fostered throughout the day will serve as the foundation for a forthcoming strategic report, outlining the research priorities that will guide the future mission of the European Partnership for Brain Health.
